About the Special Issue
This special issue aims to capture and extend the scientific exchanges from CatBior 2026. We invite high-quality submissions that explore innovative catalytic pathways to advance biorefinery technologies and push the boundaries of biomass conversion.
Scope of Topics
We welcome original research articles and reviews on topics including, but not limited to:
Integrated Catalytic Strategies: Thermo-, photo-, electro-, bio-catalysis, and their hybrid applications in biomass valorization.
Mechanistic Insights: Advanced in-situ characterization and theoretical studies uncovering catalytic mechanisms.
Waste Carbon Valorization: Catalytic upcycling of biomass components, plastics, and other renewable feedstocks.
From Lab to Application: Catalytic synthesis of biofuels, chemicals, and materials, integrating process design and sustainability analysis.
Data-Driven Catalysis: AI and high-throughput approaches for accelerating catalyst and process development.
